the blog was first founded by nochoco, who wrote and managed most of the theories in the first year. since then many mods have come and gone, and leadership of the blog was eventually passed to ellipsis. nochoco and felt’s focus has shifted to creating the caretaker-au, though they do continue to provide limited support when they can. our newest mod, date, has recently been added to the team and assists ellipsis with responding to asks.

from the moment i finished undertale, i was completely in love. i scoured the internet for information and theories, but found there was a lot of misinformation and interpretations that didn’t quite make sense to me. so, i decided to make this blog! i’ve dedicated my free time lately to replaying the game again and again for the sake of testing various things, collecting screenshots of every event in the game, drawing fanart, making gifs, and writing all about it in posts! i realised it was a bit too much for just one person, and so i enlisted some wonderful help.
i love chara so much – they’re my absolute favourite! the toxic dynamic they share with asriel is one of the most fascinating things in the game to me. chara may have endured a troubling past, but it’s as the sidebar of this blog says – “suffering doesn’t automatically make you a hero.”
everything i test in this game is done without the use of cheating, debug mode, or save file creators like flowey’s time machine. this way, i can be positive that none of that stuff has compromised my tests! unfortunately, it also means each test takes a few hours. finding out all the triggers for the “something funny” text on alphys’ bag of dog food is going to take a while, but i’m determined!
also, i love the number nine. my goal is to one day complete 99 full genocide routes.
GENOCIDE COUNT: 9

Despite my preference for team-based shooters, I adore Undertale because of its humor and loveable charm. (The humerus skeletons quickly stole my heart.) Even after finishing Undertale, I was not done. Theories and fancomics kept me engaged and entertained, but a certain chocolate-deprived blog caught my eye. The focus on in-game evidence over heavy speculation is exactly what I was looking for, especially when it comes to theories about Chara.
As part of the nochocolate team, I focus mainly on responding to asks. However, many asks evolve into theories, which are both challenging and rewarding to work on. I also use my tech-savvy knowledge to search for lost asks and tweak the blog theme and custom pages as needed. (Like this one!)
Like NoChoco, I also play through many runs to find dialogue and test triggers. I’ve also picked up debugging, so that I can confirm triggers before NoChoco tests them. A skele-ton of time goes into testing, but it’s worth it.
DATES WITH PAPYRUS: 12

I stumbled across this blog, still tear-stained from the ending and desperate to make sense of Undertale. Though I had read many theories before, these screenshot-heavy, well-sourced posts kept me captivated for hours and left me so inspired! I introduced myself, and after a couple weeks of swapping theories, stories, and a few bad laughs, I found myself copyediting one of the nochocolate drafts. I was determined to make the entry as clear and concise as possible! I’ve been working behind the scenes for a while now, finessing drafts before they are ready to publish, but I finally stopped resisting the inevitable and accepted my role into the nochocolate amalgamate.
While not always seen, my presence can be strongly felt.
